left behind

Ian Tweedy

"Where can we go? The past is a set of infinite tracks, where you can jump from one to the other. History has always been a high-speed train. We are traveling too fast to really understand where we are headed. I can draw maps and sketch out plans but I feel lost. Are we going backward or forward? On this journey I encounter fragments of other people's stories, traumas and dreams. Then I look at all the pieces I have collected, put them together and drop them on the floor when I leave. Pay your ticket and find your post!"
